Why Rishikesh Yoga Express?

We were in Rishikesh for our own yoga teacher training when this idea started.

Classes began early, and more than once we showed up without a decent mat. The one the school gave us wasn't great, the shops nearby didn't have what we needed, and ordering online meant waiting days we didn't have, not with a course that only ran a few weeks.

It felt like such a small thing to be stressed about. But it kept happening, to us and to the people training alongside us.

So once the course ended, we decided to fix it. Rishikesh Yoga Express started as a simple idea: get people the mats and yoga essentials they need, quickly, wherever they're staying in Rishikesh.

We've since added something else. Not everyone wants to buy a mat they'll use for two weeks and then have to pack or give away, so now you can rent one instead, for a day, a week, or your whole retreat, and keep it only if you fall in love with it.

However long you're here, for a teacher training, a retreat, or just your own practice, we just want you spending that time practicing. Not worrying about a mat.
